Aliens are Real.
Rom Vesen, ex-Military medic, avid fan of Greys (or Greens, as ze would frequently argue is their correct name on account of their color that ze is VERY insistent upon.) spent a lot of hir time reminiscing about hir past. Ze, all things considered, had a great childhood, other than hir father being a conspiracy theorist who tried to convince Rom that the government was using planes to spread chemicals that made the populace docile, and to not investigate the real truths of this world, like UFOs, aliens, and the real reason for shrinkflation; The world was literally getting smaller and smaller every day. The government knew this, and so did every major corporation in the world, which is why they raised prices to take advantage of it. Rom, even at the time, believed this was unnecessary for the government to do: It’s like throwing oil on a gas fire. Nobody cares enough to look into this stuff, and you don’t need to make an already docile populace more docile.
Once ze was at the age of majority, ze realized that the cost of living and studying was too damn high, and something had to be done if ze wanted to study medicine, so ze enlisted in the military with the intent of becoming a field medic. You get to experience the horrors of war, AND get on the job experience with PTSD, all with only the low entry price of a high school diploma!
In hir time in the military, ze found something while lounging around base one day, hidden behind a door ze was told to never go behind, seemingly left open by a superior: Aliens are real. And they’re not the big, grey, “take me to your leader…” types.
They’re honest to god little green guys. They’ve got antennae and rayguns and everything. It’s fucked. Obama spent 8 years and billions of dollars blowing up civilians and somehow not enough of those time or funds went towards trying to hide the little green fuckers they keep locked up at every military base in the country. Who knows what they use them for! For all Rom knew, they were getting milked! A cacophony of alien glorps, as stereotypical as you’d expect, was enough to freak Rom out to the point that ze immediately turned around and left, hoping that ze had not been seen. Unfortunately, it’s a fuckin’ military base. They’ve got cameras everywhere, and on top of that, they’ve got just as many drones.
Rom, almost immediately, was taken in for “questioning”. It was a mock interrogation, which is the norm for the country ze served and even ze knew it at the time. Ze did hir best to keep hir cooL, but it raelly sank in that that hir life was on the line here. They really would just kill hir for what ze knew. Ze began to panic, and ze decided hir best course of action was to leave the room.
It was fruitless, and ze even knew that. Obviously it was locked, obviously ze was being watched by the camera in the corner, obviously it felt like there was no other escape. Ze stood up.
Hir feet did not touch the floor.
The state of the door was both locked and unlocked, as it did not matter anymore, nor would it ever again.
They did, however, watch Rom Vesen sink through the floor, and disappear with military knowledge they’d kill to keep hidden.
